Position Description

Data bridges the gap between dreams and decisions. As a Senior Data Analyst you are adept at creating business intelligence and actionable insights from complex data sets. You will apply common data techniques such as cleansing, normalization, enrichment to transform data into simple, meaningful, and powerful information. In this role you will serve a key function by partnering with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Operations, and Leadership to provide business reporting, analysis, and data-driven insights on the operational health of the business. The person should have exposure to and some experience with human capital data like job openings, labor and wage data, and demographic information. Data curiosity and resourcefulness are essential for the role. You should possess enough self-motivation to uncover, explore and analyze uncharted data territories, then filter and clean complex data sets to identify trends and patterns. At different points of the day, you will have conversations with various stakeholders to learn what’s going on in the other parts of the organization. What new challenges are being faced? What new goals have been set?

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • You interpret workforce problems with impact outcomes in mind, you seek out and pull the right data from appropriate data sources
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to provide visibility into key business performance indicators, and support informed decisions 
  • Create data processes and models that go beyond simple metrics and use strategic analysis to tell a vivid, engaging story in the language of the requester
  • You will work with OneTen colleagues to provide them with the organizational context they need to make accurate plans and decisions
  • A savvy communicator, you know how to coach other, non-data-fluent individuals on ways to frame their questions that can be answered through data
  • Immersion into the data to identify the root cause of specific issues; accurately assess risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and evaluate the implications in a complex ecosystem
  • Responsible for defining, maintaining, and monitoring end-to-end data workflows and processes on OneTen’s platforms

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Technical expertise in data modeling, mining, segmentation, and database design and development
  • Data Warehousing/Data Lake experience
  • Experience working with complex data modeling, ETL design, and using large databases in a business environment
  • Fluent with Excel, SQL, data models, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, since workdays will include extensive and varied ad-hoc reporting
  • Knowledge of and experience with data exploration and reporting tools, databases, and programming
  • Desire to learn data science methods and tools for test-control/experimental design, regression, data modeling techniques, cluster, and factor analysis, etc.
