The primary focus will be to nurture and amplify Black excellence and leadership in business as the organization expands its support of and impact on Black communities through philanthropic initiatives to grow the number of Black entrepreneurs and to see significant progress toward increasing Black business success.

Position Description:

The Program Manager, Institute will provide general support for program administration, coordinating the full-cycle user registration and assessment process. They will coordinate various processes and intake elements of Institute programs, event content, and logistics for participants.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Configure and maintain the organization’s event registration platform
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for the event registration platform and logistical liaison for clients, faculty, and staff
  • Coordinate and administer assessment program policies, procedures, schedules, and materials
  • Coordinate and monitor standardized group and/or individual test administration
  • Coordinate and administer psychological interest assessments
  • Provide routine instruction, information, and advisement to assessment participants regarding policies, procedures, and outcomes
  • Maintain computerized assessment tracking systems and databases
  • Prepare and distribute written and visual materials, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts for research reports and presentations
  • Assist in the operational management of the Institute, including acquisition of supplies, inventory management, and bookkeeping
  • Prepare and reconcile expense reports
  • Maintain records of Institute documents, records, and processes for easy accessibility
  • Contribute to the development of work process improvements to meet changing mission parameters and requirements and implement new work process improvements as approved

  • Events Management Knowledge: conceives and produces small and/or large-scale in-person and/or virtual events; studies the brand, identifies the target audience, devises the event concept, and coordinates technical aspects and logistics before launching the event; creates schedules and budgets, selects sites, arranges for speakers or entertainers, and contracts and coordinates with event vendors.
  • Planning & Results Orientation: Organizes and executes work to meet organizational goals and objectives while meeting quality standards and following organizational processes; ensures individual performance does not negatively impact the performance of others; recommends additional resources that would improve effectiveness and helps others access required resources; identifies opportunities to improve work processes and efficiency; contributes to setting work priorities and direction; identifies in advance when intended results may not be achieved; takes initiative; is not satisfied with the status quo.

  • Technology: Proficient with Microsoft productivity suite, association management systems, customer relationship management software, event management software, and other functional software relevant to area of responsibility

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience in program administration
  • Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adhere to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional associations
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality improvement
  • Perform other duties as needed
